Obtaining State Certification in 2002 as a Property Management Specialist I helped in the development of the property management services now offered in the Hocking and Hide-A-Way Hills areas. In 2005 I began developing another company Hocking Hills Services offering a variety of specialty services to area residents including a cleaning service used by many cabin owners in the Hocking Hills. In 2008 seeing the need for additional advertising and marketing for the Buyers/Sellers/Owners I repreent I joined Real Living Solutions for Real Estate.
Getting to Know Your REALTOR® - Kim Kallimanis What is the difference between a Sales Agent, a REALTOR® and what are you? Both... I am a licensed Salesperson for the state of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Commerce A Member of the National Association of REALTORS, the Ohio Association of REALTORS, Athens Board of REALTORS® And the Columbus Multiple Listing Service. The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics. The Ohio Association of REALTORS – (OAR) is the major champion of private property rights in Ohio: the rights you, as an Ohio homeowner or potential home buyer, enjoy now and expect to preserve for your children and grandchildren. OAR's members agree to abide by the National Association of REALTORS® stringent Code of Ethics. I hold a Property Management Specialist designation certification and currently manage several area rentals including several daily/weekly cabin rentals. I am always current on my continuing education classes and have successfully completed all the post licensure classes to obtain a Real Estate Brokers license; I am also a Property Manager for Real Living Solutions for Real Estate and owner of Hocking Hills Services. Other memberships I belong to include: Hocking Hills Tourism Association, Hocking Hills Chamber of Commerce, and the Hide A Way Hills Club. Are you a part-time or full-time REALTOR®? Full-time, although I own Hocking Hills Services this work is often scheduled around my real estate schedule. Most of the time when I'm not on real estate buy/sell appointments, one can find me prepping cabins for guest arrivals at one of the cabins I manage under my property management services. Are you a Buyers agent or a Sellers Agent? I am a Dual Agent I work with Buyers/Sellers/Landlords and Tenants helping all parties come to "a meeting of the minds" pertaining to their Real Estate needs. What days and times are you available? I’m here when you need me including evenings, weekends, and most Holidays, fortunately I have the flexibility to work around most schedules, however keep in mind weekends and evenings do fill up quickly so appointments are recommended. How often are you going to contact me? It depends and it’s up to you!!….. I personally don’t like “pushy salespeople” or someone trying to convince me to buy something. Buying a home is one of the most important investments a person can make I am here to assist you when YOU are ready, providing you with all the latest information about the area and homes. I’ve assisted Buyers who are ready “now” and Buyers who have taken much longer (even years) to decide when the time was right for them. How do you stay current on issues or rule changes in Hide-A-Way Hills? It depends on my family and work schedule, Hide A Way Hills Club offers members several ways to keep up on issues and rule changes these include: 1) The HAH Club Echo a monthly publication distributed to members from the HAH Club. 2) The HAH Club website 3) The HAH Club bulletin board 4) The HAH Club office 740 569-4195 5) HAH Board and Committee meetings are also open for members to attend. Have you ever lived in Hide A Way Hills? Yes, but not currently – prior to my becoming a REALTOR®, James and I had built a home approx 7 miles from HAH our land was part of his “Family Farm". Why did you sell your cabin in HAH? We originally purchased as an investment property to "fix up" and resell. In 2005 after obtaining our goal we sold our HAH cabin and currently still own lots. How long have you lived in the area? My family moved here in 1979 (when I was a teenager) prior to that, we lived in Columbus. Would you recommend HAH as a full-time or part-time residence? Either – it’s all about what works for you…. a little over ½ the HAH members live here on a full-time basis, many commuting to work in the Columbus area, with the new bypass HAH is less than an hour from downtown!! Will I be able to “shop online”? Yes in addition to this website you might also want to visit HAHPROPERTIES.com, however If you would prefer the listing to come to directly to YOU...you should sign up on the “Personal Client Service” I use from Columbus Board of REALTORS on this you receive even more details on each specific listing…this service is FREE and you always have the option to opt-out What should my first step be when looking for a home/property? Location, location, location…..once you figure out where you want to be (whether it’s in or outside of HAH) the home/property will follow. What should I wear? Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and keep the weather conditions in mind. What if I decide HAH isn’t for me? I also work with Buyers/Sellers/Landlords and Tenants in the surrounding Hocking and Fairfield county areas. What should I expect on my first visit to HAH? A FREE tour of the HAH area, lots of information, if you have a high/low price range, we can also go through a few of the homes currently on the market, so you can become familiar with the pricing of the homes in the area. Do you have references? Yes – supplied upon request What is the best way to get in touch with you? My preferred method of contact is through email kim@hockinghillsohiorealestate.com which allows you to correspond when it’s convenient for you. However I frequently check voicemail, cell phones, faxes and several social networking sites throughout the day. After leaving a message my response time is usually within 24hrs.however, if we are working with deadlines this time is greatly increased!!
