should I bring?
A) All of our cabins are
second homes to homeowners seeking to share with others wishing to visit in the
area, therefore linens, towels, pots, pans, dishes, coffee makers, & microwaves
are provided for your use. We recommend you bring your food, personal items,
clothes, bug spray, and any specialty items you may need.
Q) Where is
Hide-A-Way Hills?
A) Hide-A-Way Hills is
located approximately 12 miles from Lancaster, Ohio and approximately 15 miles
from Logan, Ohio
Q) How far is it from
the Hocking Hills Cave area?
A) The
Hocking Hills cave areas are approx another 3 to 10 miles from Logan (there are many different cave
areas in the Hocking Hills).
Q) What does it mean on
the rental application when it says use of HAH amenities not included?
A) HAH stands for Hide A
Way Hills at this time Hide A Way Hills does not extend their
member amenities to guests/tenants reserving cabins less than 31 days in
duration.

Where would I find
additional information on the Hocking Hills area?
A) Please visit
1800hocking.com or call 1-800-hocking. This is the Dept of Tourism for the area
– they can provide you with valuable information on the area such as maps,
dining, canoeing, horseback riding, golf, fishing & other area attractions.
Q) When I see the
word HAH on the Rental Forms – what does that mean?
A) HAH is abbreviated for
Hide-A-Way Hills – Hide-A-Way Hills is a private gated community with many
member amenities – HAH does not extend these amenities out to
Tenants. Tenants visiting this area are typically coming to visit the Hocking
Hills areas and attractions.
Q) Are their any
Restaurants in the area?
A) Yes, there are several
in the Area – The HAH Lodge is open to the public by Prior Reservation only.

What do your
cabins look like?
A) All are unique in style
and design – All are individually owned, many are second homes to HAH members
whom wish to share the Hocking Hills Area with others seeking to getaway and
relax. None of our Cabins are new builds. Each offer something different in
style, design and decor.
Q) What is your
maximum occupancy?
A) Each cabin is different however; the maximum occupancy
is 8 persons including minor children

Do all your cabins
offer a Hot Tub and or a Fireplace?
A) No each cabin is different – please refer to the
description section on each individual cabin.
Q) I sent a
reservation request online – does this mean my reservation is secure?
A) NO, reservations are not
secured until you are notified by email or phone. The webervation program is for
inquiries only and is not real-time.
Q) What is the
quickest way to make a reservation?
A) Please see our
Reservation forms section on our website. Print out the forms and fax back to
614 635-2700. All forms must be completed in full. Once the forms are received
you will be notified with further instructions on the reservation process. We
are not responsible for incomplete forms or forms not received.
Q) Why are their so
many forms – all I want to do is rent a cabin for a few days?
These forms are required
for several different offices.
HAH Non Member Tenant Registration Form
1)
The HAH non-member tenant registration form is to allow non-members
admission into the HAH Community. All vehicle information and Drivers License
#’s must be obtained for car passes to be issued.
2)
All names and ages must be filled in for personal passes to be issued.
Carleton Realty Rental Agreement
This form is for the cabin
rental specifically – It contains valuable information on our policies,
procedures, cancellations, deposits, refunds, general cabin descriptions, and
rules of the cabin.

Carleton Realty and their agents represent the Owners as the landlords of all cabins
reserved by Carleton Realty.

What are your
Rental Rates?
A) Each cabin varies in
Pricing due to the Owners requests – Please see our Rates section of our website
for additional information.
Q) Is there an
additional charge for Children?
A) Children 12 and under
stay free with a Parent or Guardian.
Q)
Do you allow Pets?
A) Currently
we have 2 cabins permitting pets – this is a preference set by the cabin owner. All pets
are required to be on a leash when outside the cabin and must be attended by the
owner at all times. No pets are to be left in the Cabin unattended at any time
during your visit to our area.
Q) Do you permit
smoking inside your cabins?
A) All our cabins are non
smoking inside. However, smoking areas are set up outside the cabins.

Do you have
outside fire rings?
A) This is also a
preference to the cabin owners – please see the description page of the
particular cabin you are renting.
Q)
Do all cabins have
inside fireplaces?
A) Yes, however some are
gas log and some are wood burning please see our cabin description page for the
cabin you are reserving.
Q) What time is
check-in / check-out?
A) Check in is
4pm – Check
out is 11 am
Q) Where do I leave
the keys when I depart?
A) Please turn off all
lights & appliances upon departure, the keys should be returned to Carleton Realty if no one is in the office at your departure time please leave
the keys in the door mail slot. DO NOT LEAVE KEYS AT THE SECURITY OFFICE
Q) Can I request a
refund if I decide to leave early?
A) There are no refunds
permitted for early departure.

Do all the cabins
have hot tubs?
A) No this is a preference set by the Cabin owner please
see our cabin description page for the cabin you are reserving
all hot tubs are operational year round.
Q) What about
telephones?
A) All our cabins do have
phone service, however we ask you bring a prepaid phone card for making
long-distance phone calls.

Cable?
A) No

A) Most of our cabins
are open year round please refer to your specific cabin for more details.
Q) What about area
road conditions?
A) Due to the hilly and
winding terrain in the Hide A Way and Hocking Hills areas we suggest you make
arrangements for a 4WD.
